The British Thoracic Society (BTS) runs annual short, full day courses on Occupational Lung Disease.

Our team presents at these courses alongside experts in occupational lung disease across the UK. These courses are interactive, designed for new consultants, trainees, and healthcare professionals. They are designed to help you to gain essential knowledge on occupational and environmental lung diseases. We use case studies to explore the diagnosis and treatment of a variety of lung diseases.

The British Thoracic Society (BTS) annual short course on Occupational Lung Disease is on 16th October 2025. 

Dr Johanna Feary will be presenting with Dr Gareth Walters (Birmingham Heartlands Hospital) during the Asthma, Acute Inhalation Injuries and Mimics session. 

As taken from the BTS website and newsletter:

"Join us for an interactive online course led by experts from across the UK. Designed for new consultants, trainees, and healthcare professionals, this course will help you to gain essential knowledge on occupational and environmental lung diseases. The full day course will use case studies to explore the diagnosis and treatment of a variety of lung diseases.

"This course will be entirely case-based with interactive questions and will be delivered by a faculty of experts and delivered on a virtual platform. It is aimed at newly qualified consultants, trainees and other healthcare professionals."
