Our department are the lucky winners of a hamper of lovely goodies from Fortnum & Mason, very generously provided by the Society of Occupational Medicine (and sponsored by Empactis).
The SOM were seeking occupational health-related photos for their image bank showing relevant workplace activity related to ill-health or promotion of well-being.
[From left] Magda Wheatley, Julie Cannon and Jo Szram are seen here with the hamper; the winning photo is propped up precariously on the lid!
Julie explained the background to the image: “The image shows a commercial sprayer using an epoxy resin-based paint, wearing a cartridge-based filtered mask as RPE. The patient was diagnosed with occupational asthma as a consequence of his exposure during an intense period of work on one of London's railway stations.”
